Q: How Perpetual Legacy formed?
Q: Bagaimana Perpetual Legacy terbentuk?
Michelle: The Perpetual Legacy was born from a partnership between me and the bass player Matheus Maia. We played on an extreme metal band and decided to do a project aimed at the Symphonic Metal. It would be just a project, but the compositions took greater proportions, and the need to form a complete band.

Michelle: Perpetual Legacy lahir dari pertemanan antara saya dan pemain bass Matheus Maia. Kami bermain di band metal ekstrim dan memutuskan untuk membuat sebuah proyek Symphonic Metal. Q: Why did you choose Perpetual Legacy as the band's name?

Michelle: This name originates from Psalm 119:111, based on the Perpetual Legacy that the Lord Jesus left us, which was His Word, your Salvation.

Q: What the purpose of forming this band?

Michelle: Music is our passion and we love playing symphonic metal. Add this with the desire to spread the message of Christ made the Perpetual Legacy arise.

Q: Who are your music influences?

Michelle: We have some influences as a band, they are basically Epica, Nigthwish, After Forever. But each musician seeking individual references as Beethoven, John Williams, Megadeth, Angra, Dream Theater, etc.

Q: Please, tell us about your last album "New Symphony for Him" about?

Matheus: The ANSH was a very well-crafted album and studied by us. We all care to use our influences without copying them adding to the personal influences of each, added to enough music theory and precise executions. We appreciate that it was a very high quality work and so we could get the message in the best possible way.

Matheus: ANSH adalah album yang dibuat dan dipelajari dengan baik oleh kami. Q: Do you guys have a testimony with Christ in your life? Tell us your best story!

Michelle: I was rescued from the world by the power of Jesus Christ, I was a drug addict and a person much angry in my teens, but Christ saved me and make me free by the power of His love.

Q: What you think about the church that blessing the gay and lesbian marriage?

Michelle: We believe in what the Bible says about it. The Lord says that abhors gay marriage. Be it between two men or two women. We respect the choice of each, but we can not agree that a Christian church to perform same-sex marriage, because it directly violates the biblical principles.

Q: What do you think about Indonesia?

Michelle: I have a childhood memory that is directly linked to your country. My older sister is in love with surfing and when she was a teenager, had many posters in her room, with incredible waves of the Indonesian seas. I also know that anti drug trafficking law there is quite severe.

Q: Would you like to have a gig in Indonesia someday?

Matheus: Of course! We were happy to know a new country, a new culture and certainly take the opportunity to show all our sound!

Q: What do you guys think about the radical terrorist acts by ISIS and others?

Q: Apa pendapat kalian tentang gerakan radikal oleh ISIS dan lainnya?
Matheus: ISIS radical acts are clearly a way to draw attention and cause panic to the world in order to want to propagate respect through fear. We believe in a higher God in all things and that does justice. We expect these men to repent and see the truth.

Matheus: Tindakan radikal ISIS jelas cara untuk menarik perhatian dan menimbulkan kepanikan bagi dunia untuk ingin menyebarkan rasa hormat melalui ketakutan. Kami percaya pada Tuhan yang lebih tinggi dalam segala hal dan dalam keadilan. Kami berharap mereka bertobat dan melihat kebenaran.
Michelle: It's too sad to see to what extent arrives blind faith and religious extremism.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

Matheus: Currently our plans are concentrated on making music and spreading our identity. We would love to tour Europe in order to further consolidate our sound. We expect to launch another album soon with even more quality than the previous and show again a great job.

Matheus: Saat ini rencana kami terkonsentrasi pada pembuatan musik dan menyebarkan identitas kita. Kami akan senang untuk tur Eropa untuk lebih mengkonsolidasikan suara kita.
